[Even when he's completely, totally regretting his involvement with Diarmuid and all the crazy saddled to him, Archer can't help but shove him out of the way on first reflex. Not that it matters much - that bullet was meant for him, though the sudden movement means it catches him in his side, rather than anywhere terribly important.

Well this is terrible and obnoxious and embarrassing, being face-first on the ground, bleeding and not quite sure what to do.]

[On the bright side, D is more than equipped to deal with combat situations.

It took him about 3 seconds to get into a defensive crouch between Archer and the origin of that bullet. He's visibly more frightened than he usually is looking at a fight, but he can't really let Archer get hurt further. They're friends, after all.]

...Can you move?

[He can, luckily, move and is even in good spirits enough to be himself. So he gets up, very slowly and with a lot of profanity sprinkled in, and looks around for the fucking punk who did that]

[Well. Internally that doesn't sit terribly well with Archer, but he also doesn't have an off switch]

he pauses, peers in one direction, and goes white]

but he's trying super hard not to melt down, so he just nods and grabs Archer's arm and runs. He figures he'll pick him up once they've gained a little ground.]

[And he follows, perhaps not as fast as Diarmuid would want, but at an impressive clip either way. Though he's bleeding still, a lot, even with his free hand pressed to the wound, and that's not really doing him much good. So after a while he gives a wry chuckle, looking down at all the blood]

He's doing that thing where he hyperfocuses on Archer in order not to see his hallucinations. The thing is, he has to pick him up now, so that's going to be harder to do. But they have to keep moving, so he just hefts Archer up and takes off again.

For now, there are no more gunshots.]
