Oh, trust me, I wouldn't forgive you either! It would be an insult to lose to such a... what was that word you used? An inelegant opponent. I had no idea the Matou family was so disgusting.
I don't doubt that, but it hardly matters now, right? I think I'll allow some other Servant to handle him. I don't want to be touched by one of those vermin again.
And we have the advantage - you know him well, don't you? We have leverage that the mad Servant does not and his Master strikes me as unremarkable. As long as we plan and remain resolute, I foresee little trouble.
War is a bloody thing, and the Grail War doubly so - surviving teams are rare, and he cannot recall ever finding out what the fate of a Servant is after all is said and done. It didn't matter to him at the time, stay or go he had no plans of getting attached or even passing any significant amount of time with his familiar.
So much for that. Of all the things to grow fond of, to find worthy, it was the boy who could disappear in a matter of days.
When he has a spare moment to stew on it, he feels angry, almost forced to violence. He wants to lash out because he isn't used to being denied what he wants, he wants to scream and tear the life out of something and pretend he can give it to Tokiomi instead.
But for now hes calmed enough by the closeness and the gesture of affection, and part of him wants to kiss his Servant, his friend, his equal, in a desperate attempt to not waste their time. He doesn't, of course, he has no idea how one would go about something like that, but the thought is certainly preoccupying.]
[Tokiomi's days are limited no matter how you look at it. He'd never aimed for the war with the intention to ask for his life back, after all. His wish was meant to be handed to someone else, and if his soul was meant to be a catalyst that was fine. If not, he could move on then.
Living beyond this war isn't something he's considered. After all, his chance to grow up ended 40 years ago. Nevertheless, he can't help but entertain the fleeting thought that it would be nice to linger with Gilgamesh. Being here at his side feels natural and warm and leaves Tokiomi more full of vitality than he's been since he really was alive.
If he thinks too hard about it, he gets frustrated. So he tries not to, and instead just watches Gil's face.]
There's a lot on my mind, and I've discovered that you're quite the distraction.
[He doesn't have to be scared about being awkward or messing up - the repercussions would be as temporary as Tokiomi himself is. There's little to lose.
So Gilgamesh persists, firm and self assured as always, and gives Tokiomi a playful nudge back before resting his head on the other boy's shouder.]

[It's cruel. And it hurts.]

[He reaches over to place his hand on Tokiomi's - the contact is self assured but somehow awkward nevertheless.
Still -- somewhere along the line, Gilgamesh assented to regarding Tokiomi not only as competent, but worthy of the word "our."]

[That's not just for himself anymore. Not just for Rin and Sakura, either. It's for the Master who's relying him, right here.]
If I can't do that, I won't be able to forgive either of us.

What a pity. Then he dies first, I suppose.
[Anything to get rid of the bugs tbh]

O-of course. We're the strongest team, so there's no question.

[right??? what do I do now]

[Awkward? Sorta.
Completely sincere? Of course. Gil doesn't know how to not speak of his mind, really.]

[this is said fondly now, though
he even nudges gil's shoulder playfully, something he wouldn't have done to nearly anyone before]

[It isn't fair, Gil's decided. It's absolutely unfair.

[It's embarrassing, but he doesn't push Gil away. It would be dumb to put any distance between them when they have so little time.]
