[Well that was. Not his intention.

Tokiomi is sitting on the floor, books on magic theory spread out around him. As he does most days since his illness, he's researching in hopes of finding a way to get his power back. So far there's been no luck, but he's not caving yet.]

Good afternoon, Master! I hope my older self didn't disturb you too terribly!

[For Tokiomi's sake, he carefully tugs his shirt, now too big, down to cover himself appropriately before carefully folding up his pants.]

I suppose no misconduct is a surprise anymore, though.

[Ohhh my god this is really weird.]

Well, I did just throw a youth potion at him, apparently.

[Gil smiles - he's pleased to see Tokiomi is, for the most part, happy and well. They parted so suddenly last time, being able to see his Master now is a relief and an accomplishment both]

[The last time he saw this Gil, he was sinking into the mud of the Holy Grail. Seeing his smile again takes him back -- somehow it feels like he can still smell the smoke and feel the heat the flames.]

It is! Might I ask how long it's been?

Roughly a decade since the end of the fourth holy grail war. A year since I was able to give you a second life.

I see I had little to worry about, then! And how is adult life with him?

Troublesome, often. Interesting, always. But we have made good on the foundations you laid.

[Ah... yes, that's truly good to hear. A smile, warm and lazy, tugs at his lips and he rolls over on the bed to watch Tokiomi. He's certain that kiss was part of this "foundation" Tokiomi is talking about - yes, that must be it. That must mean they're both loved now, doesn't it?

He couldn't be more pleased. With a satisfied little huff, he grabs one corner of a blanket and rolls himself up in it]

[Somehow it's not surprising to see Gil rolled up in blankets. It just brings back more memories, and Tokiomi can't help but smile.]

Will you spend your entire time here in bed?

If this were Fuyuki, I would be tempted! Perhaps it's lucky that I am curious to see more of this place. Ah, and your family! They're here too, aren't they?

Mostly, yes. We've all begun to move out, bit by bit.

Then I'll have to work quickly.

[WIGGLES. Well. The "quickly" can come later. He's decided he's still somewhat comfortable here]

Byakuya is already gone and married. I'm not sure it'd be a shame if you missed him, though. The rest of us are here, but Kariya will be gone soon and your older self & I are planning to return to Europe shortly. We've just yet to decide on a destination.

If you wish to keep him satisfied and manageable, I recommend France or Italy! I understand both countries are famous for wine.

We were thinking of Italy already. We need only be careful of the church.

If they're smart, they'd know to be careful of me.

[He huffs and settles in his blanket roll - Gilgamesh's impression of the church remains less than stellar, and he surmises that if he's unforgiving already, his older self would be downright impossible]

[Gil will know who. Tokiomi still regrets not letting that man be killed when he had the chance.]

Then if we cross paths, I'll settle thing with him. You would not object, would you, Master?

I suppose not, so long as it's discreet. I'd rather not bring the Association down on my head, nor on my teacher's.

That's good. I wouldn't want to see those pompous old fool attempt to talk down to Rider... Or I suppose it would be entertaining, but not quite worth the trouble of your older self's involvement.
