[ look he bought you a present! it's a REALLY REALLY REALLY big box, there's probably a giant robot in it or something, sitting innocently in the middle of the room. OPEN IT!!! X(

also the giver of the gift is mysteriously absent. but the tag says "open me I M M E D I A T E L Y" so you probably don't have to wait. probably. ]

[HE KNOWS but he'd stuck his finger in it anyway AND NOW IT'S BURNT. Don't you feel bad for him Kon?]

[That is an old trick and if Spanner was a mean person he would do something that could potentially harm the contents of the box.

Oh who are we kidding, he's going to try to push it over.]

[ it's pretty heavy. but it does wobble. the contents kinda bang around noisily, it's OBVIOUSLY not packed very well. and it seems to have pretty good weight balance because it tips back right-side-up before it can fall. ]

[...Righto. He'll open it, but he's going to peek slowly over the edge of the box just in case the "gift" tries to jump out at him.]

You're hopeless. [he shakes his head and upends a jar of vinegar on the burned digit.] Stupid. [Shut up he's not smiling and it's not a little bit fond.]

It'll keep it from blistering. [had he had the use of his other hand, kon would have grabbed toki's wrist, but as it was, he just glared and spilled vinegar on the floor.] Don't be a baby.

[THE BENEFITS OF HANGING OUT WITH A CRIPPLE. And now his hand is all vinegary and he doesn't want to put it back in his mouth.]

[He wasn't expecting any visitors today. So he kind of assumes it's an overeager fan or something. Though he does wonder how this person made it into his building and figured out which apartment he's actually using this evening. That vague curiosity is why he opens the door, to see... a face he hasn't seen since high school.

It isn't like they haven't met. Kasuka's an obvious way to get at Shizuo, so until the "younger siblings are off-limits" rule went up Izaya probably bothered him a few times. But he isn't a middle-schooler anymore, and he knows Izaya is breaking a big rule by showing up at all, so his emotionless stare is tinted just sliiiightly with concern.

Also it's 11pm and Izaya woke him up, so he's sort of got a bit of bed head an is wearing pajamas.]

...Why are you here?

Aw. [ oh well, he'll just have to be more inventive next time. like make himself very small and fit into a smaller box so that it'll be less conspicuous. ]

Not really, I just wanted to do something exciting. Jumping out of a box seemed like the best idea, next to maybe coming down through the chimney. I didn't wanna get dirty.

[he is just... chillin' around like the badass he is, drinking a coca-cola.]

[He smiles anyway though. Gino is charming even when he's acting childish and silly.]

Am not! I'm impulsive and exciting, there's a big difference.

[ also yeah this box is .. pretty big. he's going to have to capsize it in order to get out. you don't even want to know how he got in in the first place (hint: it involved jumping off of a high surface and into the box, and it also involved a lot of trial and error). ]

[I have no idea why they would even be talking to each other but fuck that. They both do what they want. So he's going to plop down on the arm of your couch with a canned BOSS coffee and cross his legs casually.]

What an exciting day we're having.

[What do you do when he's working, Gino? Seriously. But he'll step aside so there isn't anything falling on him.]

Oh, I took Ratchet to the groomer's. I'm not even going to try to get the tangles out of all that hair.
